All we can think to say is, “Thank you.”
I struggle to find the words to express how I feel about the premiere and everything that came before it. That night I kept thinking, “Can everyone tell how grateful I am? Am I saying the right things? Have I thanked everyone?”
The truth is, nothing can prepare you for something like this. I had no clue what it would be like to sit in a room full of people and watch your story play out on a screen. But to see the reaction- and more importantly, the connection- to the film was mind blowing.
If you couldn’t tell last night, I am filled with love and gratitude. Laura, you are an artist and an advocate who gives so many a voice through your art. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
To everyone who was in the film and so graciously offered up their stories and voices, thank you. I have endless love for you and will never be able to thank you enough. To everyone who came to the event, thank you. Your support and endless love is priceless and I can never repay it to you. Thank you more than I can put into words.
To everyone else, who in any way has voiced your support for the film and its message, thank you.
That’s all I can think to say. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The support for the film was overwhelming, and we feel so grateful that the message we’ve been working to spread is being so powerfully received.
Everyone who contributed their voice and story to the film made it what it is: a statement about the reality of mental illness and the hope that exists for recovery.
Without you, this film wouldn’t be possible, and its message wouldn’t be nearly as powerful.
Your support is invaluable, and know that by supporting this film, you are helping to de-stigmatize mental illness and making this world a better place.
And to Laura, your art is touching so many lives. You have given so many a voice through your work: including me. I will never be able to thank you enough, and you deserve all the credit in the world.
The question we’ve been receiving the most is: “Where can I see the film if I couldn’t make it to the premiere?”
We thank you for your interest! This premiere was only of the first-cut of the film: meaning we still have room to grow and work to do! We are still working on figuring out how the film will be distributed, but we will keep you updated on what’s next for the film.
Your continued support makes all the difference during this process. The more you share your excitement for the film, the more likely it will spread far and wide! Please, keep sharing about the film with your friends and family.
Love and light,
